RAISIN WHOLE WHEAT BREAD | |
1/2 c. seedless raisins 1/2 c. butter 1/2 c. sugar 1 egg 1/2 c. corn syrup 1 c. buttermilk or sour milk 2 1/4 c. whole wheat flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt Pour boiling water over raisins to plump them; drain well. Cream butter and sugar; beat in egg, corn syrup and milk. Mix together flour, soda and salt. Stir into batter along with raisins. Pour into a well-greased 5 x 9 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 to 60 minutes. |
