MARCIO'S DECORATOR ICING OR
FROSTING
 
3 egg whites
1 box confectioners' sugar
2 c. Crisco shortening
1 tsp. clear vanilla or favorite flavoring

Beat egg whites until stiff. Set aside. Beat 2 cups Crisco and confectioners' sugar until smooth. Beat in egg whites in 2 separate beatings (1/2 at a time). Beat well after each addition. Add flavoring. Will decorate any 2 layer 8" or 9" round or 8"x12" sheet cake. May use 1/2 cup water and 1 tablespoon meringue powder. Will last several months in refrigerator. Cake does not need to be refrigerated after frosting.
