MUSHROOM STEAK 
2 lbs. rump steak, sliced 1/4 inch thick slices
3 tsp. flour
2 tbsp. water
1 tsp. sugar
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
1/2 tsp. salt
3 to 4 shakes of pepper
2 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
1 tbsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. flour
3 tbsp. water
1 tsp. soy sauce
1 sm. onion, chopped

Mix together first measures of flour, water, sugar, soy sauce, oil, salt, and pepper. Add the steak slices and marinate for 1/2 hour. In a skillet, heat a little oil and add the ginger. Stir for about 30 seconds and add the mushrooms. Add more oil if necessary. Stir-fry mushrooms until done and then remove. Return skillet to burner and add steak and onion. Saute until steak is just cooked. Add the cooked mushrooms and the second measure of salt. Mix well. Mix the second measures of flour water and soy sauce. Add to skillet and stir until thick. Serve with rice.
