MUSHROOMS, ONIONS AND GREEN
PEPPER
 
1 med. size Spanish onion, peeled and chopped fine
3 tbsp. cooking oil
1 tsp. salt
1 lb. mushrooms, wiped clean and sliced thin (include stems)
1 lg. sweet green pepper, cored, seeded and thinly slivered
1/8 tsp. pepper
Pinch mace

Saute onion in oil in a large heavy skillet over moderately high heat 8 minutes until golden, add mushrooms and green pepper and saute 5 minutes until lightly browned. Reduce heat to low and stir fry 2-3 minutes until pepper is tender. Season with salt, pepper, and mace and serve. Delicious over broiled steak. Yield: 6 servings - 95 calories.
