ALL PURPOSE SWEET SOUR DRESSING 
5 lb. sugar
3 lg. chopped onions
1 tsp. dill seed or fresh dill
1 tsp. parsley (fresh or dry)
2 tbsp. prepared mustard
1 toe diced garlic
1 gal. white vinegar

Place first six ingredients into a gallon container. Fill container with vinegar; stir and shake until most of the sugar is dissolved. Let stand 1 week; strain and return liquid to container. Does not need refrigeration. Uses: Hot slaw, wilted lettuce, potato salad, red beets, cucumber with onions, red cabbage, tomatoes, 3 bean salad, etc.
