CARAMEL POPCORN 
4 1/2 qt. freshly popped popcorn, NO butter or salt added
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. white corn syrup
1/4 lb. butter
1/2 tsp. salt

Place all ingredients except popcorn in 3 quart microwave pan for 1 1/2 minutes. Stir 15 seconds. Bring to a boil for 2 minutes. Add 1/2 teaspoon baking soda and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla; stir. Place popcorn in heavy brown shopping bag. Pour syrup over popcorn in shopping bag. Put in microwave for 1 minute. Then shake. Repeat 3 times.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
