TACO PIE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion, chopped
1 (1 1/4 oz.) pkg. taco seasoning
3/4 c. water
1 (16 oz.) can refried beans
1 (8 oz.) jar taco sauce, divided
1 (10 inch) pastry shell, baked (homemade)
2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
1 c. crushed corn chips
Shredded lettuce
Chopped tomato
Chopped black olives
Sour cream

Cook onion and beef in skillet until meat is browned. Drain. Add taco seasoning mix, water, stirring well. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes. Stir occasionally.

Combine refried beans and 1/3 cup taco sauce. Spoon half the bean mixture into bottom of pastry shell. Top with half meat mixture; half cheese and all of the corn chips. Repeat layers with remaining bean mixture, meat mixture, and cheese. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Top with lettuce, tomato, black olives and sour cream. Serve with remaining taco sauce.

Yield: 6 servings.
