2 c. table salt
2/3 c. water
1 c. cornstarch

Mix salt and water in saucepan. Stir until hot. Remove from heat and add 1 cup cornstarch which has been mixed with 1/2 cup water (cold). Stir quickly. Mixture should be consistency of stiff dough. If salt was not hot enough and mixture does not thicken, place over low heat and stir until it forms soft, smooth dough. When cold, it will keep indefinitely if wrapped in foil or plastic wrap or container.
