CINDY LEIP'S VERY EASY ONION SOUP | |
4 med. Bermuda onions 1/4 lb. butter 1 tsp. sugar 3 shakes nutmeg 8 rounded tsp. beef stock 7 c. boiling water 1/4 c. dry sherry Slice and saute onions in butter with sugar. Add nutmeg until onions are transparent. Dissolve beef stock in boiling water and add all the onion mixture. Simmer 20 minutes. Tastes better several days old. |
