CHINESE BARBEQUED CHICKEN 
1/4 c. soy sauce
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
3 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1 clove garlic, minced
2 1/2-3 lbs. chicken, skin removed

Mix first 6 ingredients in 2 quart micro-safe dish. Add chicken and coat with sauce. Let chicken marinate in sauce for at least 30 minutes. Microwave on High 8 to 10 minutes. Turn chicken over and baste with sauce. Continue to cook 13 to 16 minutes on 70% power or until chicken is tender.

This recipe works well to cook in microwave and then finish on the grill. I can also be used in a conventional oven. Just bake for 1 to 1 1/2 hours and baste frequently.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
