CHALLAH BREAD 
5 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. boiling water
2/3 c. sugar
2 pkgs. dry yeast
1/4 c. melted butter

Mix all dry ingredients. Beat eggs well (have water boiling and butter melted); add eggs with butter and continue beating while adding boiling water so eggs don't cook. Make a well in dry ingredients and slowly pour liquid mixture in well. Mix well and turn out onto floured area. Knead for 10 minutes.

Grease bowl, place dough in bowl and grease top. Cover with white cloth. Let stand for 1 hour or until double in bulk. Divide into loaves and braid. Brush egg whites on top and sprinkle with poppy seeds. Let stand 1 hour. Bake 30 to 35 minutes at 325 degrees. Delicious.
