SWEDISH CREMES 
1 c. butter
2 c. flour
1/3 c. heavy cream

Mix butter, flour and cream like pie crust. Chill. Roll out about 1/8 inch thick and cut with very tiny cookie cutter. (Stars and trees for Christmas are nice). Toss in granulated white sugar. Prick top with fork and bake at 350 degrees for 7 to 9 minutes. These do not raise so you can bake many on a cookie sheet at a time. Cool.

FILLING:

1/4 c. butter, softened
1 egg yolk
3/4 c. powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. almond flavor
2 or 3 drops food coloring

Put filling between 2 cookies. Makes about 5 dozen.
