2 lb. beef cubed 1 inch squares 1 tbsp. fat 1 onion, chopped 1 garlic bud 4 stalks celery, chopped 1 inch 12 carrots, sliced 8 potatoes, cubed 1 sm. can tomato juice 1 can mushrooms (optional) 2 c. water 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 3 tbsp. flour Salt and pepper Brown meat slightly in fat in medium size roasting pan. Then place onion, celery, carrots, potatoes, etc. Mix water, Worcestershire sauce, flour, salt and pepper well. Pour over vegetables and stir. Cover and place in oven for 6 to 8 hours at 250 degrees. Feeds 8-10 people. |
