FRESH PEAR CAKE 
2 c. sugar
3 eggs, beaten well
1 1/2 c. salad oil
3 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
3 c. thinly sliced peeled pears

Combine sugar, eggs and oil. Beat well. Combine flour, soda and salt. Add to sugar mixture 1 cup at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla, cinnamon and pears. Spoon batter into a well greased 10 inch Bundt pan or tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Remove from pan and allow to cool. Top with glaze.

GLAZE:

1 1/4 c. sifted powdered sugar
2-4 tbsp. milk

Combine ingredients blending until smooth. Pour over cooled cake.
