DEEP DISH PIZZA 
1 loaf frozen bread dough, thawed as directed
1 to 1 1/2 lb. seasoned pork sausage
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 can (4 oz.) mushrooms pieces, undrained
1 c. (8 oz.) canned tomatoes
1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste
1/2 tsp. (or less) salt, sugar, garlic powder
1/2 tsp. (or more) oregano
2 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley, or 1 tbsp. dried
2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese

Let dough rise until doubled in size. Cook meat and onion in skillet. Drain off fat. Stir in remaining ingredients except cheese. Cover; simmer 15 minutes. Cool.

Press dough into bottom and sides of 13 x 9 inch cake pan. Spoon filling into shell; spread to cover bottom. Sprinkle with cheese. Let stand 15 minutes. Bake in 425 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes; or until crust is golden brown.
