EASY COBBLER | |
1/4 c. soft butter 1/2 c. sugar 1 c. flour 1/4 tsp. salt 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 c. milk #2 can peaches or berries reserving liquid 1 c. reserved fruit juice Cream butter and sugar. Sift together flour, salt and baking powder and stir into creamed mixture, alternately with milk. Beat until smooth. Pour into greased 2 quart casserole. Over the batter spoon the peaches. If using berries, add 1/4 to 1/2 cup sugar, depending on sweetness of berries. Pour the reserved fruit juice over the top. Bake 45 to 50 minutes at 375 degrees. |
