DILL PICKLED BEANS 
Pack lengthwise in hot sterile jars (pint) leaving 1/4 inch headroom. 2 pounds stemmed tender green beans to each jar. Add:

1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 clove garlic
1 head dill or 1 1/2 tbsp. dill seed

Bring to boil:

2 1/2 c. water
2 1/2 c. vinegar
1/4 c. salt

Pour mixture over beans. Pour 5 minutes in boiling water. Makes 4 pints.
