FIX AND MIX BRAN MUFFINS | |
3 c. brown sugar 2 c. Nabisco 100% bran cereal 5 c. flour 4 eggs 2 c. raisins or dates 2 tbsp. molasses 1 c. Crisco 1 qt. buttermilk 4 c. bran flakes 2 c. boiling water 3 tbsp. baking soda 2 tsp. salt Pour boiling water over 100% bran cereal and let stand while creaming sugar, Crisco and eggs. Add buttermilk, flour, salt, baking soda and mix. Add 100% bran, bran flakes, raisins, dates and molasses. Mix and bake at 400 degrees for 15-18 minutes. Excess batter may be stored in refrigerator for up to 6 weeks. |
