2 chopped onions 2 to 3 carrots, sliced 2 celery stalks, sliced 2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. basil 1/4 tsp. thyme 3 tbsp. parsley 1 (2 1/2 lb.) fryer 4 c. water Place all ingredients in crock pot in order listed. Cover and cook on low 8 to 10 hours (high 4 to 6 hours). One hour before serving, remove chicken and cool slightly. Remove meat from bones and return meat to crock pot. Serve with rice or noodles. |
