2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1/2 c. shortening
4-6 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
1 tsp. baking soda
Dash salt
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix butter, shortening, cocoa and water in a pan. Bring to boil, then take off stove and add flour and sugar (can use self-rising). Add soda, salt, eggs and vanilla. Mix and pour into a well greased 13"x9"x2" pan. Bake 20 minutes at 400 degrees. Five minutes before cake is done, melt and just bring to a boil: 2 tbsp. cocoa 6 tbsp. milk 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. chopped nuts

Remove from heat and add 1 pound powdered sugar. Pour on hot cake.
