SAUSAGE COFFEE CAKE 
1 lb. bulk sausage (mild or hot) (can use turkey sausage)
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
1/2 c. grated Alpine cheese (low cholesterol, low sodium)
1 egg, beaten
1/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce
2 tbsp. chopped parsley
1 c. Bisquick
3/4 c. low fat milk
1/4 c. light mayonnaise
1 egg yolk
1 tbsp. water

Brown sausage; drain. Add onions; brown and drain again. Add next 5 ingredients. Make batter of Bisquick, milk, and mayonnaise. Spread half of batter in 9 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Pour sausage mixture over batter. Spread remaining batter on sausage. Mix egg yolk and water. Spread this mixture on top of batter. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes until it pulls from side of pan. Cool 5 minutes. Cut in squares. Freezes and reheats nicely.
