BEAN SOUP | |
1 lb. Great Northern beans 3 qts. water 1 lb. ham hock 1 c. chopped onion 1 c. celery 1 c. carrots 2 cloves garlic 1/4 tsp. pepper Soak beans; drain. In pot combine beans, water, ham, onion, celery, carrots, garlic and pepper. Simmer covered 1 hour. Remove ham bone. Cool and chop meat. Cook beans until soft. Add meat. |
