FUNNEL CAKES 
2 eggs
1 1/3 c. flour
4 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
Shortening
Powdered sugar

Beat eggs and add milk to them. Sift flour sugar, baking powder and soda together. Add milk and eggs to dry mixture. Beat until smooth. Holding a finger over the bottom of the funnel, pour some batter into the funnel. Remove finger and drop batter into hot shortening making a swirl design. Fry until golden brown turning once. Serve warm with powdered sugar or syrup.
