FROSTED WALNUT BARS 
1 c. sifted flour
1/4 c. butter
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. Angel Flake coconut
2/3 c. sifted confectioner's sugar
1-2 tbsp. orange juice

Measure 1 cup sifted flour into mixing bowl. Cut in butter until mixture is the consistency of corn meal. Press firmly into bottom of 12 x 7 baking pan. Bake in 350 degree oven about 10 minutes, or until lightly browned.

Meanwhile, mix eggs, brown sugar, and vanilla until well blended. Add 2 tablespoons flour, soda, and salt. Add nuts and coconut and mix well.

Spread over the baked layer; return to oven, and bake 20 minutes longer. Cool.

Combine confectioner's sugar and enough orange juice to make a glaze of spreading consistency. Spread over the baked mixture. When glaze has hardened, cut into rectangles. Makes 24 bars.
