CLEAN OUT THE REFRIGERATOR STEW | |
1 sm. chuck roast, cut in 1 inch chunks or a soup bone Vegetables 2 tbsp. butter Salt and pepper to taste 2 or 3 celery leaves 4 c. cubed raw potatoes Melt butter in pan. I use the pressure cooker. Add meat and brown on all sides. Cover with water and cook until tender. Add vegetables, celery leaves, potatoes, salt and pepper and cook until vegetables are done. NOTE: As I have leftover vegetables I place them in a freezer box in the freezer and when the dish is full it's time to clean out the refrigerator. Hence the name "Clean out the refrigerator stew". |
