2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. chopped or sm. marshmallows
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. coke
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs

Sift flour and sugar together. Add marshmallows and mix. Bring to a boil butter, shortening, cocoa and coke. Pour over dry mixture and stir until marshmallows are pretty well melted. Add buttermilk, baking soda and eggs and mix well, but DON'T beat. Pour into greased pan and bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes for long pan or tube pan, 30 minutes for layer.

ICING:

1/2 c. butter
3 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. coke
1 box powdered sugar
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Bring first 3 ingredients to a boil. Remove from heat and add sugar. Beat until smooth; then add nuts. Put on cake while cake is still hot.
