APPLESAUCE MUFFINS 
2 sticks butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. can applesauce
2 tsp. baking soda
4 c. flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
2 tbsp. cloves (optional)

Cream together butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Mix applesauce and soda. Add to creamed mixture.

Sift together and add flour, cinnamon, allspice, and cloves (optional). Spoon into muffin pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Makes 3 1/2 dozen. Batter will keep in refrigerator for 2 weeks.
