PUMPKIN BREAD | |
2/3 c. soft shortening 2 2/3 c. brown sugar 4 eggs 1 lb. can pumpkin 2/3 c. water 3 1/3 c. flour (1 whole wheat) 2 tsp. baking soda 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. cloves 1 c. nuts 2/3 c. raisins Blend shortening and brown sugar. Add eggs, pumpkin and water. Blend in flour, soda, salt, baking powder, cinnamon and cloves. Stir in nuts and raisins. Pour into greased loaf pans 9 x 5 x 3 inches. Bake at 350 degrees for 65 to 70 minutes. Makes 2 loaves. |
