PIKES PEAK DESSERT 
FIRST LAYER:

1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1/2 cup nuts, chopped

Mix and press firmly into a 9x13x2-pan. Bake at 400°F for 20 minutes; cool.

SECOND LAYER:

1 cup confectioners' sugar
1/2 tub Cool Whip
1 (8 oz.) pkg. Philadelphia cream cheese

Cream together and spread across the cooled crust.

THIRD LAYER:

2 (3 oz. ea.) pkgs. French vanilla jello instant pudding mix
3 cups milk

Mix together and spread across the second mixture.

FOURTH LAYER:

1/2 tub Cool Whip
1/2 cup finely chopped nuts

Mix together and spread across last layer. Refrigerate or freeze.

My grandmother handed down this recipe and we always thought she made it up lol. We make this at every family get together and it's always the first dessert to go. Even better is the coconut cream pudding mix!! The crust tastes like a shortbread cookie. So good!!
