MULTI - VEGETABLE BEEF STEW | |
3 lb. lean beef for stew (1 1/2" cubes) 1/3 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper Fat 6 sm. potatoes, pared 6 green onions, with tops, sliced 3 lg. carrots, pared & cut in 1/2" pieces 3 lg. stalks celery, cut in 1/2" pieces 1/4 lb. green beans cut in 1" pieces 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, undrained 1 (10 oz.) can condensed beef broth 1/2 c. dry red wine Coat beef cubes with mixture of flour, salt, and pepper; brown in fat in large skillet. Put browned meat in an electric cooker. Add vegetables, broth and wine; mix well. Cover and cook on low 10-12 hours. |
