STREUSEL BARS | |
1 1/2 c. flour 1 c. brown sugar 1 tsp. salt 3/4 c. butter 2 c. rolled oats 1/2 c. pineapple preserves 1/2 c. strawberry jam 1/2 c. apricot preserves 1/2 c. chopped nuts In a large bowl sift flour; add brown sugar and salt. Cut in butter and oats. Set aside 1 3/4 cup of this mixture to use later. Press remaining into bottom of a slightly greased 9x13x2 pan. Spread 1/3 with pineapple, 1/3 with strawberry and 1/3 with apricot. Sprinkle with nuts. Sprinkle remaining reserved crumb mixture and press down gently with a spoon. Bake in a 375 degree oven 30-35 minutes. Remove from oven; cut into bars 3 inches long, 1 inch wide. Cool after cutting. Roll in extra crumbs that fall from bars, then roll in confectioners sugar. |
