RIPE CUCUMBER PICKLES

Peel cucumbers and cut in size desired. Boil in alum water a short while. Heat:

2 c. sugar
1 c. vinegar
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. mixed spices

Rinse cucumbers and heat thoroughly in vinegar solution. Put in jars and seal.
