PINEAPPLE CREAM CHEESE SQUARES 
1 c. flour
1 stick butter
1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts
16 oz. cream cheese, softened
8 oz. Cool Whip
1 c. powdered sugar
16 oz. crushed pineapple
1 c. water
2 heaping tbsp. cornstarch

In medium bowl combine first three ingredients. Work ingredients together with hands until a dough forms. Pat onto ungreased 9x12 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Remove from oven and cool.

In medium bowl, combine cream cheese, Cool Whip and powdered sugar. Beat with electric mixer and spread on cooled crust.

In medium saucepan combine pineapple, water and cornstarch. Boil until thick. Set aside and allow to cool. When cool, spread onto cream cheese mixture. Refrigerate until serving time.
