CABBAGE BURGERS 
1 lb. ground beef
1 head cabbage
Salt and pepper (to taste)
1 tbsp. shortening
1 onion
2 boxes hot roll mix or favorite dough

Chop cabbage and onion. Add to ground beef and shortening. Add salt and pepper and steam until done. Drain.

Roll dough about 3/8 inch thick on floured board. Cut into about 3/8 inch thick on floured board. Cut into about 6 inch squares. Put a tablespoon of meat mixture into center of each square. Bring corners of each square together and pinch opening well. Turn upside down on greased pan. Let rise 10 to 15 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees until brown.
