1 1/2 c. flour 1/4 lb. butter 2 eggs FILLING: 1/2 lb. cubed ham 1/4 lb. cooked and crumbled bacon 1 1/2 lbs. grated Swiss cheese 3 lg. eggs 1 c. half & half cream Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cut butter into flour as you would for pie dough. Add 2 eggs and work into flour. Add cold water until dough is consistency for easy rolling. (Allow to chill for better manageability.) Roll dough on well floured surface to approximately 1/8 inch thickness. Place dough in 9 inch pie dish. Trim the edges. Spread ham evenly over the dough. Sprinkle with bacon. Sprinkle cheese over the meat and set aside. Whip 3 eggs and the half & half cream until frothy. Pour mixture over the ham, bacon, and cheese and bake at 350 degrees until golden brown and custard is set, about 40 minutes. Allow it to set up 1/2 hour before serving. |
