FRUITCAKE COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. light brown sugar
4 eggs, beaten
2 1/2 c. flour
2 c. chopped pecans
1/2 lb. chopped candied pineapple
1/2 lb. chopped candied cherries
1/4 lb. chopped orange peel
1/4 lb. chopped lemon peel
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. cardamon
1/2 c. flour

Cream butter and sugar. Add beaten eggs and mix well. Add 2 1/2 cups of flour and mix. Combine chopped nuts and fruit. Add soda and cardamon to 1/2 cup of flour. Add to nuts and fruit and stir to coat. Add to creamed mixture and mix well. Drop by teaspoons on greased cookie sheet and bake at 300 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
