DESSERT FRUIT SQUARES 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1 can pie filling
1 tbsp. lemon juice (or 1/2 tsp. lemon extract)
4 eggs
2 c. flour (self-rising)

Mix sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add lemon juice. Slowly beat in flour. Spoon mixture into well greased 15 x 10 inch cookie sheet and then spread evenly. Visualize 20 squares and dab 1 tablespoon your choice of pie filling in the center of each square. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees or until light brown. Let cool partially and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Spoon on Cool Whip, if you wish.
