APPLE SALAD 
1/2 c. sliced maraschino cherries
1 c. heavy whipping cream
1/3 c. flour
4 lg. tasty apples
1 lg. can crushed pineapple, drained
1/2 stick butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. chopped pecans

Sift flour and sugar together. Stir into the cream (not whipped); add pineapple. Cook in double boiler or heavy aluminum boiler. Remove from heat; add butter and cool. Peel and dice apples; add nuts and cooled dressing. Add cherries and mix or sprinkle the cherries on top. Salad dressing can be made a few days in advance and refrigerated.
