BRAN MUFFINS 
5 tsp. baking soda
1 qt. buttermilk
5 c. flour
3 c. sugar
1 (16 oz.) pkg. Raisin Bran Flakes cereal
2 tsp. salt
4 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. salad oil

Dissolve soda in buttermilk. Mix together remaining ingredients. Add eggs, oil and buttermilk-soda. Stir just until mixed. Fill greased muffin tins 2/3 full. Bake at 400 degrees for 18 to 20 minutes. Makes 4 dozen. Muffin batter may be stored covered in refrigerator for up to 6 weeks.
