2 c. scalded milk
5 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
3 eggs
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Beat eggs until yolks and whites are blended. Add sugar, salt, nutmeg and flavoring. Add milk slowly, stirring constantly. Pour into unbaked pastry shell. Bake in hot 425 degree oven until inserted knife comes out clean.
