SPAETZLE 
2 1/2 c. all purpose flour
2 to 3 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. water
2 liter water
Salt

Mix flour, salt (1/2 teaspoon), eggs, and water (3/4 cup). Beat for about 3 minutes. Bring water (2 liter) to a boil, add salt. Press the dough through a spaetzle strainer into the boiling, salted water. Let cook for about 5 minutes, drain and toss in melted butter.
