LIMPA BREAD 
1 1/2 c. water
1/4 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. caraway seed
2 tbsp. shortening
2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. lukewarm water
1 pkg. dry yeast or 1 cake
4 c. white flour
2 c. rye flour

Bring to boil and simmer for 5 minutes 1 cup water, brown sugar, caraway seeds, shortening, and salt. Remove from heat. Add 1 cup cold water.

Into small bowl, measure 1/2 cup warm water. Dissolve yeast and add to other ingredients and mix well. Add flour and knead. Dough may be shaped into regular loaves or round ones. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 50 to 60 minutes.
