RUBY'S CHICKEN & DUMPLINGS 
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. Crisco

Mix all together with a fork. Add a little water at a time until its in a ball. Put flour on table and rolling pin, roll out small amounts. Cut in squares. Add flour to top layers before putting in the pot.

Cook a chicken in water, debone it and put back in juice from cooking. Bring to a boil. Add dumplings, salt and pepper each layer. Sprinkle a little flour over dumplings. Cook until done.
