BEEF WHEELS 
2 tbsp. oil
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 onion, thinly sliced
1/4 c. ketchup
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
3/4 c. canned cream of mushroom soup

PASTRY:

2 1/2 c. flour
2 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. curry powder
1/2 c. vegetable shortening
1/3 c. milk

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a skillet, heat oil and saute ground beef with onion. Pour off excess fat. Add ketchup, garlic salt, pepper and cream of mushroom soup and let stand to cool.

In a large bowl, combine pastry ingredients, knead and roll pastry into a 12 inch square. Spoon meat onto pastry square, roll and press with fingers to seal. Slice into 8 pieces, 1 1/2 inches thick. In a well greased round baking dish arrange 7 wheels in a circle and place one in the middle. Cook in oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Serve hot, coated with brown gravy or mushroom sauce.
