OLD FASHIONED BREAD PUDDING | |
1-1/2 c. firmly packed Light Brown Sugar 6 slices buttered White Bread 1/2 c. Raisins 4 Eggs 1 tsp. Vanilla dash of Salt 3 c. Milk Put Sugar in double boiler. Butter Bread and stack and cut into pieces. Place in double boiler on top of Sugar. Sprinkle Raisins over Bread. Slightly beat Eggs. Add Vanilla, Salt and Milk. Pour over Bread cubes (do not stir). Place over simmering water and cook for 1-1/2 hours. |
