1 1/4 c. sugar 4 tbsp. cocoa 4 tbsp. cornstarch 1 1/4 c. boiling water Pinch of salt 1 tbsp. butter 1 tsp. vanilla Mix sugar, cocoa, and cornstarch in saucepan. Add water and salt. Cook on high heat until thick. Remove form heat and add butter and vanilla; stir well. Cool. Cover top of frosting with Saran Wrap or wax paper while cooling to prevent skin. Makes enough for a large sheet or 2 layer cake. |
