TOPPING:

4 c. peeled & sliced apples
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. cinnamon

CAKE:

1 box yellow cake mix
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. water
1/3 c. oil
3 eggs

Grease and flour 13"x9" pan. In large saucepan, combine apples, sugar, cinnamon and butter. Cook on low heat until tender. Spread in bottom of baking pan. Blend cake mix ingredients. Pour over apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Remove from pan immediately; cool.
