CARAMEL NUT POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter (real)
1/2 c. Crisco
1 box light brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
5 lg. eggs
1 c. milk
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. chopped pecans

Cream butter and Crisco. Add brown sugar a little at a time. Beat well. Add white sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs. Sift baking powder and salt with the flour. Add to mixture alternating with milk. Add vanilla and nuts. Bake in a tube pan for 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees.
