1/4 cup butter
4 oz. unsweetened chocolate
1 egg, unbeaten
2 tbsp. light cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. box powdered sugar (4 cups)
1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts

Melt butter and chocolate over hot water in a double boiler.

In a large bowl, combine egg, light cream, vanilla and powdered sugar. Stir in melted chocolate mixture and beat just until blended.

Stir in nuts and pour mixture into an 8-inch square pan. Refrigerate until firm before cutting into 1-inch squares.

Yield: 1 pound.
