PICADILLO (CUBAN CHOPPED BEEF) 
1 1/2 lbs. chopped beef
1 med. onion, chopped or onion powder to taste
1/2 green pepper, sliced
1/2 c. green olives
1/4 c. raisins
1/4 c. dry cooking wine
1 c. tomato sauce
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. oregano
1 bay leaf
1/2 tsp. paprika
Mushroom slices or pieces, optional

Soak raisins in cooking wine. Saute onion and green pepper and set aside. Brown ground beef; remove excess fat. Combine beef, onions, green pepper, raisins, cooking wine, tomato sauce, and bay leaf in a large skillet at medium- high temperature and stir for 3 minutes. Add seasonings and simmer at low temperature for 15 minutes.
